The Mark

Sarasota, FL

What began as a vanilla box in the sky soon evolved into a vibrant, soulful escape for a transplanted Wisconsin couple whose shared love of music and took centerstage in the design. Jimi Hendrix and Paul Stanley welcome you into the moody foyer/lounge that becomes a cozy gathering spot for football games and cocktail parties.

We added custom molding, wallpaper and sconces to the long windowless hallway that connects to the rest of the unit. It was the perfect place to display and experience the couple’s backlit concert posters that were salvaged from Milwaukee’s Bradley Center prior to its demolition.

The three bedrooms each have their own distinct personality: his and hers styled offices/guest rooms, and don’t forget to say hello to the drunk monkeys in the primary bathroom!

The hallway opens to the kitchen, dining, and family room where we selected bold colors & furnishings inspired by the sunset. Girls rule this end of the condo with Marylin Monroe and Gwen Stefani artwork anchoring the space. We defined and gave more function to the dining area with a lighted ceiling accent and custom white lacquered bar, while dimensional backsplash tile perfectly captures the colors and personality of the entire space.

Your home should make you happy and this one makes us want to party every day. Rock on, Sarasota.
